BOUDIN SF BAKERY in Costa Mesa, CA

Let's pretend this world had never heard of "bread". Imagine there was no such thing as delicious, warm, doughy, crusty bread. People can't satisfy their carb craving with a delicious morsel of fluffy bread? What kind of chaos might erupt! Let's leave this cold dark world we've created; I can't deal with the insanity.
I was recently contacted about an event at Boudin Bakery in Costa Mesa, CA, where the famed Sourdough bakers were releasing a new BBQ Pulled Pork menu! First of all, we all know their bread is AMAZING. Now they add sweet pulled pork to their already vast menu? Mind blown.

I had the privledge of getting to try their perfectly season, seared, and slow roasted BBQ pork piled sky high on thier renouned sourghdoug bread and salads. For a limited time, they now offer a Classic Pulled Pork Sandwhich topped with crispy coleslaw, an Aloha Pork Sandwhich infused with island flavors and grilled pineapple, and a Luau Pork Salad.

The Classic BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich is exactly like mom used to make, delicious, warm, and homey. It ain't called the "Classic BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwhich" for nothing!

The Aloha Pork Sandwich is slathered with ginger-soy barbecue sauce, topped with caramelized pineapple, pickled red onion, crunchy cabbage coleslaw, fresh cilantro and served on a SCRUMPTIOUS garlic buttered sourdough. This one was by far my favorite dish of the night!

Last but certainly not least, the Luau Pork Salad. For those who are watching their carbs (to you, I ask WHYYYYY), you can definitely still get full at Boudin. This is one BIG SALAD (whoever names the show first is the best person I know and we need to be best friends stat. Marathon??). First of all, just look at the picture above... Talk about SALAD ENVY. Looking at this picture is making me so hungry all over again. The tantilizing pork is tossed all over this spring greens mix, then adorned with pickled red onion, fresh cilantro, caramleized onion, crunch red belle peppers, cucumbers, carrots and slivered almonds. The whole thing is dressed with a zesty soy ginger barbecue vinegrette.

And in case you weren't already sold on trying this place out, LOOK AT THE ADORABLE THINGS THEY DO WITH BREAD. I got to take the cutest little turtle home with me, and he was almost too cute to eat! Almost... Sorry, the promise of delicious Boudin Sourdough Bread was too tempting. ;)
