Hi there! I'm Jessica and I'm the founder of PerfectLee Hungry. I'm married to John Lee (artist, musician, lover of all things food, NBA and the handsomest ever), and for now it's just the two of us making a home in Southern California.

 

While I have never taken a cooking class in my life, I have a profound love of cooking and recipe testing. Everything I have learned came from years and years of cooking dinners for my family growing up, watching ridiculous amounts of Food Network, and my love of great tasting dishes. I created my first recipe around age 7-8, and it did not go very well. Obviously, I didn't let that keep me from expressing myself in the kitchen!

 

You will find that I am not afraid of big and bold flavors, and I believe that if you are going to eat something, you should be allowing yourself to have the best food experience ever. I am a huge fan of healthy swaps in recipes, but also a firm believer in allowing yourself to enjoy the things that make you happy. Life is too short to be constantly making yourself feel guilty for loving the foods that you do.

I am also a frequent recipe contributor at Female Foodie, a blog for those looking for great recipes and great spots to visit while traveling. I feel very honored to be working with such an amazing and supportive group of talented women.
